COACHING COACHES WEEKEND - UNLOCKING POTENTIAL, SHAPING FUTURES

Introduction:

Join me, Jayden Davy, at our Coaching Coaches Weekends in 2024.  As a former Elite BMX racer turned accreditied UCI Level 1 & 2 coach, my coaching philosophy has evolved to not only enhance physical and technical skills but to foster a purpose-driven environment where riders grow, learn, and lead their own development.  Drawing from my extensive background as an athlete, coach, teacher, father, and scholar, I’m excited to share insights and strategies that go beyond the track.

On Track Application:

The learning doesn’t stop in the classroom.  We’ll culminate the weekend at the track, putting theory into action with a group of riders.  With my guidance, we’ll navigate challenges, apply newly acquired knowledge, and ensure everyone is supported and stretched to reach their full potential.

Weekend One Overview:

In 2024, we’re hosting two immersive camps in each region, aimed at upskilling coaches, volunteers, riders, and parents keen on coaching and supporting young athletes.

Camp #1 lays the foundational groundwork for coaching, rider support, and understanding effective group management.  Our comprehensive agenda, tailored to the unique context of BMX, covers crucial topics such as responsibilities, ethics, coaching environment, personality type, group management, training approaches, creating buy-in, skill identification, and effective feedback.

Takeways:

At the end of the camp, each participant will walk away with a wealth of knowledge, a detailed personal report highlighting strengths and areas of growth, and the confidence to implement these learnings over the coming months.  Join us on this empowering journey to not just coach, but to shape the future of BMX coaching.  Let’s unlock potential together!
